Judit Pampalona Sala holds a PhD in Cell Biology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), where is currently working as advanced technitian at the Phenotyping Platform at the CBATEG (Center for Animal Biotechnology and Gene Therapy) and as an assistant professor. She has previously worked at the Virginia Tech and State University (Virginia, USA) and the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB-Barcelona) as a researcher, and at the Institut de Ciències Fotòniques (ICFO, Castelldefels) and UAB Microscopy facility, as an advanced microscopy officer. She has organized and teached in advanced optical microscopy courses, in additon to her involvement in different national and international competitive research projects that resulted in several publications.  Recently she has participated as professor in the two last editions of the PATHBIO Summer Course: Morphological Mouse Phenotyping: Embryology, Anatomy, Histology and Imaging.
