Livia D’Angelo is Associate Professor of Veterinary Anatomy at the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production of the University of Naples Federico II (UNINA). She also serves as Director of the Post-Degree School of Specialization in Sciences and Medicine of Laboratory Animals.
Her scientific interests mainly focus on comparative neuroanatomy as fundamental to conduct phenotypic characterization of animal models in neuroscientific studies. She is mainly interested in ageing research, conducting in vivo longitudinal studies in models of accelerated ageing. She is also involved in developing new approaches to phenotype the animal behavior relying on digital systems to generate unbiased and reproducible data in an automated manner. She has been awarded as partner of the PATHBIO “Precision Pathobiology for Disease Models” (http://www.pathbio.org) Erasmus+ Knowledge Alliances project.
